greg775
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 11:52 PM) Haha hell no. As long as KW and Coop are in this organization, Ozzie ain't coming back. I personally think Oz is a lot more likeable than grumpy Coop, whose pitching staff just sucked the last three weeks BTW. But Coop gets a free pass. I really enjoy listening to Coop at the Cork when I get a chance. I'd much rather spend a day with Coop, but I'm a pretty low key guy.

That is ridiculous, every time Coop talks he comes off as a dueschbag but the guy is a damn good pitching coach and as long as he isn't making a big fuss and providing results its ok. I don't know if he is different to "his guys", but he doesn't really care what people outside of the organization think of him. In all actuality Cooper is an affable guy to the general public. He is not this way to the media. I have been to his remote shows and to a dinner he spoke at and the the guy is pretty cool. I get the feeling he just thinks Hanley is a tool. RockRaines
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 05:52 PM) Haha hell no. As long as KW and Coop are in this organization, Ozzie ain't coming back. Ozzie burned more bridges than any other coach who has left the Sox. There is 0% chance that he is anywhere near this coaching staff. He also burned alot of bridges internal to the Sox by treating them like downright dogs*** before he got his way and was traded. Ripping Frank Thomas the way he did never sat well with many of the old guard as well.

Granted I only listen after a win so I may not see the dbag side of him but I find him enjoyable....He's your typical new yorker, that new york accent may make everything sound douchey....I've got family from NY that visits every other year, I got an uncle who reminds me a lot of him. greg775
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 1, 2012 -> 06:49 PM) I give him 2 years As long as he acts professional, sucks up to Loria and his minions and never cusses, he should be fine. It's pretty darn obvious Ozzie did not play the game and bother sucking up to Loria and after the dressing down to the media, bye bye Ozzie. I wonder if Ozzie will go manage in Japan. It's going to be tough for him to get a managerial job again after being Loria-ized. Or will Ozzie agree to be a bench coach somewhere?
