That's really bad news. We can't afford a lineup with Tyler Flowers/GordonBeckham/Jordan Danks all batting in order. That's 3 automatic outs in a row.

Actually only missing one start is f***ing excellent news.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but....I've been getting into the bartering biz and I just got an offer for an autographed Sox Scotty Pods authentic jersey for a Wii that I just bought for $30....How much do you think I could get for it? Anyone here wanna throw me an offer?

Thank you Toronto Blue Jays!

Yep, already clinched two out of three.

And then the Tigers have a pretty tough two weeks:

at Bos, vs Cle, vs NY, at Tex, while the Sox have 3 at Min, and 9 home games--LAA

If the Sox are going to open up a lead, it will be this part of the schedule.

I dunno i'm suddenly terrified by the A's

The prospect of 9 more games against the Angels is dicey as well.

The A's will cool at some point. The Angels are the one team in the AL that scares the crap out of me.

Why don't we hit doubles? 29th in MLB

Cause players like Adam Dunn hit stuff over the fence. They need to stop that now so they can move up in doubles. This might be another year where they hot over 200 HR again.

Because our ballpark is not condusive to extra bases, a lot of doubles at other parks are HR in the Cell, and we have a pretty slow line-up, maybe one of the slowest in baseball.

I would add that in addition to the really slow guys, there are a couple really fast guys like De Aza and Rios, and they have turned a few of those doubles into triples.

We have 2 really slow guys in Konerko and AJ. The rest are fast enough to hit doubles on a regular basis.

I didn't notice last night, but it looks like Myers got 39 from Axelrod.

Will Joe McEwing give Liriano 47?

Pressing issues.

I doubt coaches give up numbers to players. Liriano will probably go with 57.

If Liriano wants 47, i'm sure he'll get 47. Coaches, in general, just want jobs and don't care about numbers from what I've seen. That said, Guillen, Ventura, Baines, etc ... those numbers stay with the man regardless.
