Cali
This team should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. They don't deserve to be in first place the way they've been playing ever since the extra inning loss to the M's.... It's been all downhill since then... elrockinMT
QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 07:06 AM) This team should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. They don't deserve to be in first place the way they've been playing ever since the extra inning loss to the M's.... It's been all downhill since then... We all know it is a far better thing to win then lose, but this team has nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone goes through a bit of a rough patch. The offense did good last night. Pitching did us in, but it was anyone's game to win or lose and we lost that's all. We are still in first place and you can't expect any team in the AL Central, or any team for that matter, to lay down and just hand us the title. A couple wins by the Sox will make everything good again Edited June 16, 2012 by elrockinMT

Kyyle23
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 10:35 AM) Sounds a lot like Fister. Fister was pretty damn good when he came over from the Mariners. His problems this year are injuries last year in August he was 3-1 with a 2.97 ERA, then in September he was 5-0 with a ridiculous 0.53 ERA
Quin
Kenny wanted Soler. The Braves were right there with the Cubs and willing to spend $30MM on Jorge Soler, tweets Peter Gammons of MLB.com. The White Sox and Yankees, meanwhile, had bids that fell between $25MM and $30MM. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/06/east...aves-soler.html
Cali
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 07:28 AM) Yep, the team is in first place where no one thought they would be, and they should be ashamed... They went from a team that was supposedly "rebuilding" (which I don't believe anyone of the players in the clubhouse truly believed in their hearts -- rah rah speeches aside) to a team in contention. Not just in the central but they were very close to Texas for best record in the AL at one point. So they get their taste of the top after a nice streak and start collapsing. So whatever this team "should" be and was "supposed to" be is moot. Right now.... They should be ashamed of how they're playing.

flavum
The Brewers rotation is now set for Fiers, Greinke, and Wolf. Sox need to go 4-2 minimum this week. Or how about just run the table at home for once?

Dick Allen
The Sox have been offering a groupon today for patio parties for about 8 games. Reasonably priced There are zero sold so far. Considering what kind of crap people buy on groupon, that's quite a feat. There is something very bad going on with White Sox perception.
