caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 11:10 PM) Yes, actually 1/3 games left are against KC and Min. If 88 games wins the division, 50-40 the rest of the way can be broken down this way: KC 9-6 Min 9-6 Det 5-5 Cle 3-3 Bal 2-2 Bos 2-2 NY 4-3 TB 2-2 Tor 4-3 LAA 3-3 Oak 2-1 Sea 2-1 Tex 3-3 4-3 against either NY or TOR wouldn't be expected, especially the Blue Jays. You hope 3-4 and prepare for 2-5. LAA will be another tough 3-3. Somewhere in there, we'll get a sweep, if we can get hot again. The Orioles have been very tough on us as well. Greg's head will explode if we go 9-6 versus either the Twins or Royals. Especially KC. And one of the top 3 AL Central teams will end up doing serious damage to one of the other two teams to put some distance in the race. Maybe not this year...it could end like 2008/09. Jake
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 10:23 AM) Sale Starts 14-4 Peavy Starts 14-4 Quintana Starts 14-4 Floyd Starts 6-12 Axelrod/Danks/Humber Starts 2-16 I'd say not all three of the top 3 (probably only one) will give the Sox that kind of record, one will give us a slightly worse record, and one will be nearer .500. Floyd will be better than that and the 5th starter spot will be FAR better. All that said, that should still be a damn good team.
ILMOU
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 09:23 AM) Sale Starts 14-4 Peavy Starts 14-4 Quintana Starts 14-4 Floyd Starts 6-12 Axelrod/Danks/Humber Starts 2-16 It won't be quite that skewed between our good and our not-so-good pitchers. The game is more "random", which is why pro gamblers usually stay away.

He might need a day off. Last night he looked very frustrated after each at-bat.

hogan873
Giving Adam a day off is fairly easy with Danks on the bench. Jordan can play LF and Viciedo can be the DH. Obviously not something you want to do everyday, but Dunn needs a break.

Wait, you're saying he strikes out and hits a lot of home runs? Sweet analysis. Of course, continuing to let pitches go down the middle of the plate over and over while your in the middle of a slump and giving yourself only 1 swing probably is still the answer
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) Or Konerko to DH, Youkilis to 1b. I'd rather have Danks bat than Hudson/Escobar, plus it improves our defense.

There might be something to his relationship with Ozzie. In every aspect of his game too. There is still the occasional brain cramp, but the guy is playing much harder, much smarter, and much better than he has for years.

There is still the occasional brain cramp, but the guy is playing much harder, much smarter, and much better than he has for years. I think that's the key. Even if he was playing with the same effort and drive before, it just didn't always show. This season you can tell he's really busting it and get's visibly bothered when he effs up
