fathom
QUOTE (Nokona @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 08:12 PM) Morse is injured. Unless they wanted him out in RF? Morse going to play LF, I believe

LittleHurt05
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 02:04 PM) Adma LaRoche making the Nats look bad today. Two god awful at-bats. I know Morse is hurt, but that lineup doesn't look very tough for a supposed contender. Mark DeRosa??? Call up Bryce Harper now

sunofgold
CuBS lineup is bad. Soriano in cleanup...guy only hits HRs when nobody is on base. And he is really there only serious HR threat in the small ballpark named Wrigley. Dempster is their ace? And Samardzija is their #3 starter? CuBS better be in last or competing for last or I will be disappointed. What a crappy looking team. Stewart, Baker, Byrd....really?
sunofgold
Strasburg gave up a run to the cuBS. How embarrassing! Four of the five games right now are 1-0. Scoreless in Cleve. Is any team going to score two runs today? Anybody going to hit a homer?

LittleHurt05
Papelboner gets the job done, Phillies win 1-0 behind Doc. Probably see a lot of games like that with their rotation & makeshift lineup.
sunofgold
Phillies won 1-0. Papelbon with the save. Thome did not have an AB. Red Sox score a run to make it 2-1. Please at least score one more run. More would be better.

chw42
And Ross lines one right to Peralta... Valverde's lucky he didn't lose the game yet. Good to see him finally blow a save though. That lucky bastard wasn't going to save everything.
sunofgold
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) Way to go Ryan Sweeney! Ex-White Sox dude! Thanks! No win for the Verlander. BS 1 (hopefully of many) for Valverde (guy had a career year last year).
Cali
Even if the Tigers walk off in the bottom half, a Valverde blown save is fine by me. Perfect last season, and blows his very first chance at a save this year? GOOD.
