He's arbitration eligible this year, and last year's performance was not worth a $3 million first year arbitration deal.

His defense alone is worth over 3M. According to fangraphs, Beckham's performance last year was worth 4.9M.

Getting into the late innings....our bench consists of AJ, Escobar, Viciedo, and Fuku....I think all four could be inserted right now and be instant upgrades.

AJ for Flowers.

Escobar for Morel

Viciedo for Beckham (move Lillibridge from LF to 2B)

Fuku for Rios

Do it. Do it. Call a timeout and swap in/out four players.

Flowers has looked pretty good out there, and Escobar is terrible.

His glove alone could get him that elsewhere. I'm sure there are teams in the NL who would pay him that for his glove and let him bat 8th. He's still got potential.

There is no chance he gets non-tendered. His defense and pedigree is enough for someone to trade for him.

Gross. Hopefully it's closer by committee. But you're right, it's looking more and more like Santiago.

It's one of Santiago or Crain, and based off Thornton's 8th inning experience, I'd have to think it's Crain and not Santiago, unless Crain is still a bit banged up.

So really, I have no clue.

The Sox will use at least 4 pitchers in this game.

Another Sox manager overusing a bullpen - the more things change......
