caulfield12
2nd/3rd, one out, 3-1 lead, not the easiest save situation at all for Sergio. Youkilis and Ortiz, doesn't get harder than that.
ScottyDo
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 02:48 PM) Holy crap, I didn't even bother checking before... apparently our internet is coming from the East Coast. I can watch the White Sox on MLB.tv at work. Oh, this is bad for business!! Congratulations, sir! May your firing come with a generous severance package. Balta1701
QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) Should have replace Beckham with Escobar last inning. Normally, one wouldn't say this move would provide a defensive upgrade, since Beckham was solid on D last yera.

caulfield12
Got out of that, but we have to clean our defense up a bit. The gift double in the first to Cabrera, the double play that wasn't turned, leading to Duncan's 2 run homer and then Gordon's error almost leading to Hafner at the plate with a chance to tie the game. Now who pitches the 9th? Thornton or Santiago against Hafner?

He didn't look solid on that play. I figured Beckham already had a hit. Get him some rest and let him leave on a positive note earlier (think I said this before bottom of 7th). caulfield12
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) So is Thornton not available today? The Indians' announcers said Thornton was ready to come in to face Hafner, FWIW. Don't see Paulie looking that bad often with the emergency swing on strike 3. Or you could just go to Stewart...this is Cleveland, isn't it.
