flavum
6 up 6 down, 3 k's for Bundy. The O's don't have much to be happy about. I hope the kid pans out.
maggsmaggs
Walters is a guy who could really move fast this year.
flavum
Wow, Bundy faced 9. Struck out 6. 19 years old. Could move quick.
flavum
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 06:50 PM) Walters is a guy who could really move fast this year. Hell of a start. Bundy will get the headlines, but Walters could move to W-S before long if he keeps this up.
flavum
Walters... 6IP, 2 hits, 2 walks, 10 K
DirtySox
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 06:38 PM) The O's don't have much to be happy about. I hope the kid pans out. Reports have been extraordinary this spring. Some scouts prefer him to Gerrit Cole.
flavum
Ravelo with a double. 2 doubles and a homer so far this season...that's a good sign considering he hit for very little power last year. He turns 20 in a couple weeks. Edited April 12, 2012 by flavum
caulfield12
Well, pretty much nobody but McPherson and Kuhn are hitting at Charlotte. I wish I could believe that Drew Garcia could be a possible replacement at 2B or 3B, but that's unlikely. Black with his 2nd homer, hitting the ball well early. Trayce Thompson, whenever he does make contact, gets more than his share of XB hits. Marcus "Bill Melton, Please Don't Call Me Semen" Semien with his 3rd error already. Saladino and Mitchell, despite opening eyes in Glendale, are both struggling. All Ozzie's this week (Martinez in this case), "You, you not so good." caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 06:32 PM) Walters... 6IP, 2 hits, 2 walks, 10 K Walters Spent two years at Ventura (Calif.) Community College before transferring to Hawaii. ... Went 9-3 with a 5.49 ERA in 50 relief appearances over two seasons at Hawaii. ... Was named first team All-Conference at Ventura C.C. in 2008. So another converted reliever, that we're trying to make into a starter. I'm guessing he's one of those "projectable arm" guys with the mid 90's fastball that KW loves to draft. danman31
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) Trayce Thompson, whenever he does make contact, gets more than his share of XB hits. So far 6 K in 25 plate appearances. That's getting pretty reasonable.
JPN366
If you merged Jose Martinez and Santos Rodriguez, their combined weight wouldn't reach 300 pounds.
balfanman
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 07:22 PM) Black with his 2nd homer, hitting the ball well early. The kid has not had a homerless game since I took him as my sleeper pick and AAP. Coincidence, I think not!
