caulfield12
QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:30 PM) Jake Peavy...the Reconstructed Resurrected Jake Peavy...pitching like an ace. AJ and Peavy are working great together. JaKKKKKKKe He's gotten a few pitches up to 94, but the majority of his pitches are 90-92/93 today. 7 K's for Gordon already, trails Morel and Dunn by one. UGH.

caulfield12
Pretty funny, the ONLY highlight at MLB.com for the first 5 innings was Cabrera and the umpires changing the batting box and the Konerko/Peavy play at first.

southsider2k5
2nd pitch ground out to start it, and now an argument over a nubber fair or foul in front of homeplate. AJ starts to argue, Robin comes out to discuss.

caulfield12
Raburn just missed the hanging slider right down the middle. Well, he was already out when he walked into the ball coming out of the batter's box, so karma. Going to be a really tough call for Ventura how long to stick with Jake, with the chance to go to Thornton against Boesch and Fielder next inning. Peavy at 76 pitches, 48 strikes. This exact area of pitches thrown was his trouble zone last year. Edited April 13, 2012 by caulfield12

ScottyDo
This is a very weird game so far. Love Tank, though, and the movement on Jake's fastball
Thad Bosley
The last three innings for Peavy against the very capable Rangers team, coupled with the first six today against an equally capable Tigers squad, is cause for some nice optimism for the Jake-meister this season. Very encouraging, indeed!
Reddy
ya know what Balta - one could argue that Jake is facing a much, much tougher lineup than Scherzer is... so...
