Bighurt52235
Sox talk is a really cool website. But i've noticed in here that if u disagree with certain people they go off and start callin people names. I respect all opinions. Doesn't mean I agree. But I can listen to all points of view. For those who can't I say f*** em :fyou It's not your opinions that pissed me off, personally. Your opinion that he doesn't belong here, while it can be debated, is fine and dandy. But...saying "f*** NEAL COTTS" - especially in the headline- is rediculous. It's not an opinion or a point of view. It's an attack. It's unfounded. You should have tried: Drop, send down, trade...anything but the "F Bomb." I agree with you there.
Rex Hudler
But "f*** NEAL COTTS"??? I don't think that was justified. f*** KW. f*** JM. f*** JR. f*** 'em all, but don't f*** Neal Cotts. You disagree with him being up here and that's fine, but what's he supposed to do? Decline the opportunity? Say, "No, I like it just fine at AA. Give Dan Wright the start."?? It's not his fault they called him up to start in place of Wright. And it's not like Wright didn't have any chance to prove he belonged in the rotation. He had 12 starts without a win for crying out loud!!!! No, he's not going to turn down the chance to start in the big leagues. If they asked me, I'd do it, although I've thrown 3 ineffective innings my whole life. If I were to walk as many guys as he did, I wouldn't expect love just because it was my debut. Let's look at it from another perspective. Suppose this is a hitter making his debut. What if he's 0-4, with 7 LOB. I'd be pissed. I would hope that no one would say it's ok to K with the sacks packed with Sox because it's his first game, or if he rolled two to end the inning. It's the same thing. Based on that post, it is obvious you know little about the game of baseball. Comments like that show how some fans are completely uneducated in how the game works. I'm personally insulted and offended. For reals. What part says I don't know anything about baseball? Sox talk is a really cool website. But i've noticed in here that if u disagree with certain people they go off and start callin people names. I respect all opinions. Doesn't mean I agree. But I can listen to all points of view. For those who can't I say f*** em :fyou Listening to differing points of view is easy if they are backed with logic and maturity. Starting a thread titled f*** Neal Cotts does neither. Nor does assuming a guy is not ready for the big leagues based on one bad outing, especially when you haven't seen it. Make a case for your argument and back it up with fact and I will respect your opinions all day. I'll argue mine right with you, but if you want to go toe-to-toe, be able to state your case. So far, you haven't done any of that. My apologies if you can't see that. Well If u were paying attention I admitted I was a lil harsh with the 'f*** COTTS" Thread. I started this thread to explain myself and obviously u still don't get it. I made last nights comments outta annoyance of all the Neal Cotts ass kissin that was goin on last night. I wanted to talk about somethin else besides Cotts. Mainly Dan Wright... That's my point. All credibility was lost at that point. To futher things, you go on to talk about how you know he is not ready, yet you haven't seen him pitch. It is not possible for you to know that after one outing. So again, make argument with solid reasoning and whether I agree with it or not, I'll have no problem with it. I'm done with this conversation. It has gone on too long and shouldn't have merited the venom I have spewed forth. I hope you can look past my rant calling you an idiot and realize that there is truth to what I said about overreacting. You still have a lot to learn about the game and I shall not apologize for saying that. I'm out..... on to more positive issues

Making the "f*** NEAL COTTS THREAD WAS A LIL HARSH"....But I stand by my opinion that he shouldn't be in the majors RIGHT now. That doesn't mean I think he sucks. Or that he should never pitch again. The guy's a nothing right now, needs to work in the minors... No sense in rushing a kid who could have a bright future when Dan Wright can't pitch any more miserably than he did. Dan Wright? #1 starter? Your words, not mine. Wright > Cotts... Anyone could have told you that well before Cotts' SIX WALK-MLB debut. Why is that such a hard concept to beat into your skull? I never said I love Wright, just if I had to pick between him an a AA starter not ready for the bigs, the choice should obvious.

If i had to choose between Wright, who i've seen all year, and a AA guy with phenomenal numbers, i think i'd at least give the AA guy, who started the futures game (for a reason), a chance "not being ready for mlb" has been said about many a guys, and many times it's been wrong. doubleM23
56 walks in 106 IP is not "phenomenal." No, but 35 walks in 65 innings apparently is I'd love to know how you think you know when a guy is ready for the majors. It's not an exact science. If it was you'd never, ever see guys have bad first outings would you. The guy's just not ready. How anyone could have thought he was ready with all those walks is ridiculous. I don't know where you recall me saying Dan Wright is anything special, all I've said is he's better than Neal Cotts right now. You're the one that's been throwing around words like "phenomenal," etc. Wright is nothing. Cotts is less than nothing (as an MLB pitcher right now). Get it yet? Why must everyone make stuff that's so easy into quantum physics?
