Jake
I feel much more confident with hitters who try to go the other way. Rios is making me feel confident because his approach has gotten very contact-oriented.
fathom
Weird announcing there, as they didn't acknowledge Rios getting to 3rd for about 10 seconds.
jeffro2525
QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 04:53 PM) uggghh i knowww people don't want me defending the sox, but how was that, in any way, adam dunn's fault? I don't think a lot could have been done there...he's just slow. Slow roller to short with the infield back, you have to try and score. I didn't have a big problem with the play. caulfield12
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 04:54 PM) Looked like he got a terrible jump and wasn't exactly running hard. The biggest thing is with Konerko hitting, I think Adam assumed once it got past the pitcher that the SS would go for the double play or over to 1st for the sure out. But it needs to be cleaned up, and I'm sure Ventura will talk to him. Guess you can only say that Adam didn't have so many chances last year to practice his baserunning skills, lol. fathom
How great was it seeing a Sox hitter adjust to a pitcher throwing everything on the outer half to them?

caulfield12
Great professional at-bat there by Fukudome, knew he had to get the ball up in the air. Those Japanese players are so fundamentally skilled in executing in those situations.

Flash Tizzle
This is exactly the type of situation Danks aggravates everyone. His offense has given him a lead, if even one runner reaches Ventura has to get that bullpen warmed.

caulfield12
Morel, 21 K's in 50 AB's, Cespedes 19 in 54. Don't freakin' walk Ryan to lead off the inning Danks. Dadgummit, this is ridiculous. You can argue he didn't deserve to give up at least one of those runs, but you absolutely can't walk the leadoff runner after you take the lead, especially on the road. Reed warming up. Edited April 22, 2012 by caulfield12
