justBLAZE
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 11:07 PM) Ugh, that was Ozzie-esque. Not only that, but Gavin shouldn't be starting the 8th. Probably one batter? Match up?
fathom
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 05:07 AM) I'm not sure about the decision to send him.... Not only that, but next time you put a steal on, might want to tell the hitter not to look down at the 3rd base coach for an extended time. caulfield12
Tweet/retweet? Jermaine Dye? What did Dye say now? Something about Rios or Dunn? Hello, why no Thornton? This guy's already doubled off Gavin and he's in the 110's now. Jarrod Parker grew up a big White Sox fan in Indiana. caulfield12
This game is annoying. No bullpen. Then we have to face that prick Balfour as the closer if they take the lead.
Jake
I don't mind leaving Gavin out there. I want to see the guy grow some nuts.
Thad Bosley
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) Why the hell is Gavin still pitching??? Particularly since we have a rather well-rested bullpen after the outings of the past few days.
BFirebird
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) Really bad decision by Ventura One of the 1st times I have really questioned his judgement. At least bringing Peavy back in they were up 4 going into the bottom of 9. I just see no benefit to this considering our bullpen is extremely rested with 2 out of the last 3 games being CG. Makes zero sense.
caulfield12
A's with no sacrifices yet this season. 18 stolen bases, though.

Jake
I can think of all the reasons not to pitch him but I just don't mind it for some reason. My gut says it's okay.
caulfield12
PUT IN THORNTON!!!! I guess Ventura will say he was waiting for them to pinch-hit Kai'ahue, but we didn't need to put the leadoff hitter on base. Luckily Hughes didn't learn any bunting fundamentals with the Twins...maybe part of the reason he's no longer on Gardy's team. Some way, some how, he will be blamed. Did I call it or what? I f***ing knew it.
