Balta1701
We're facing a Sox fan today. There's a good chance Oakland Athletics rookie Jarrod Parker is more familiar with the Chicago White Sox than the Sox's hitters. Parker grew up rooting for the Sox, who will face Parker for the first time Wednesday in the final game of a three-game series. “He throws hard," Sox manager Robin Ventura said after reading scouting reports of Parker. "He has a big arm with a good sinker. We’ll see happens. We haven’t seen too much of him.” Second baseman Eduardo Escobar will make his fourth start. "I don’t like guys sitting for a long, long time," Ventura said. "It’s good to get him in there. he brings a lot of energy and good at-bats." LittleHurt05
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) 2 ground outs and a K. Parker gets the side in order on 14 pitches. 14 pitches isn't too bad. At least it wasn't a 5 or 6 pitch inning.

fathom
Quick calculations show that from the 2nd spot this year, we're 9-69 (.130 batting average) with 3 doubles and 5 walks.
southsider2k5
Sale gets the side on 8 pitches, 7 strikes. If he can keep his pitch count down, that would be huge.
caulfield12
Cespedes' nickname for Ramirez back in Cuba was "Spiderman" because of his gangly arms and legs... Book on Parker...Sit on the fastball or change, make him beat you with the curve or slider (of course, you can say that about 50% of major league pitchers, lol)

caulfield12
Konerko with one of his first mistakes of the season there. Great throw by Suzuki. Excellent play, off-balance, Paulie didn't have a very good read maybe in the day game.

caulfield12
Nice work by the A's outfield there....and good relay stops AJ at 3rd. This is the kind of inning we have to score at least 2 here. UGH, another Fukudome rocket to the left-hand side. The last one would have scored the tying or winning runs against BALT.
