jeffro2525
Don't bunt here now with the guy already in scoring position. Can't give them an out when we've been struggling so much.

fathom
I assume A's have a lefty warming up? If you bunt with Alexei here, you're going to have to rely on Dunn doing damage against a LHP.

caulfield12
Ugh, this game just goes from bad to worse. We need a hit with RISP in the WORST possible way.
greg775
QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) Why the f*** are we sacrificing when this pitcher is losing control Cause Robin like almost all managers play by the "book." You bunt him over.
Greg Hibbard
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 04:31 PM) Because we're down by 1 and getting a runner to 2b with 1 out increases your chances of scoring that single run even if it reduces your chances at a big inning. I get why a sacrifice makes sense, in a vacuum. It made no sense with the way he was starting to unravel.

fathom
Our #2 hitters couldn't be less productive this year. I'd love for Fukudome to get some at bats there, but Viciedo still needs to get some at bats as well.
chw42
Awful call by the thid base ump on De Aza, he clearly was bringing the bat back. Home plate umpire even said he was hit to begin with.

caulfield12
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 04:34 PM) Cause Robin like almost all managers play by the "book." You bunt him over. The exact opposite. He's shown he will manage by gut/feel/instinct more than anything so far this season, like the suicide squeeze last inning or not going to the bullpen to start the bottom of the 8th yesterday. Not always going lefty/righty or righty/lefty with late inning bullpen match-ups.
