fathom
Question is, does Santiago even belong in the majors at all? We already have a LOOGY in Ohman.

Dick Allen
I have a feeling Santiago is going to be renting in Charlotte soon. He gives up way too many shots.
Soxfest
Santiago is NOT a closer.....................I have said numerous times Reed should be!
iamshack
Ok, that's enough for Santiago. I'd rather Jones close.

Jake
Wow, that hurts I don't think you can stop using him as closer yet though. 4/6 save opps usually doesn't get you fired. He's certainly got the heat on him now, though.
chw42
Santiago looked like he had Reddick dead to rights, but couldn't finish him off. That was the big part of the inning.

caulfield12
Sure, it doesn't matter if we win this game at all. No biggie. Send Santiago to the minors to work as a starter. Reed promoted to closer, etc. It's funny though how we're already throwing Santiago under the bus and Morel and Beckham get years to prove themselves. We criticized Santiago for getting beat on the fastball and 3 of the hits this inning are "waiting in the weeds" offspeed pitches for hits. iamshack
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 06:32 PM) Reed should be closing. Jones' control is still too suspect. Oh great, here's Suzuki. I've got a really bad feeling about this. My point was that I'd rather have Jones close than Santiago. Not that Jones should be the closer. My sarcasm didn't come through enough I guess.
