Ventura's managed two very bad games the last two days.

That he has. Last night's eight inning was a mess and that squeeze was totally unnecessary.

Dude, the A's suck. You're declaring Cespedes an All Star caliber player because he poked a bloop RBI single to CF?

He has all the tools, yeah.

He's going to K a lot, but he is also going to put up 30+ homers and 80-90 RBI's in that huge mausoleum of a stadium.

He could also get 25-35 steals.

Declaring him an All-Star has nothing to do with that AB at all.

I never said the A's were good, dude.

I said about 10 times before this series they shouldn't let Cespedes beat them. Advice not taken or heeded.

Why?

He was going to strike out otherwise, and then you have Escobar trying to knock him in...

I think that was a brilliant time to call the squeeze.

Morel simply doesn't deserve to be on a major league ballclub right now.

How is that Ventura's fault? I think it was a great call.

Morel was up in the count, as bad of a hitter as he is, he still had a chance at putting a ball in play somewhere.

I hate the squeeze, way too much of a margin for error. In the 7th inning, if you can't rely on your hitter to make contact, then you should have someone ready to ph for him.

And his managing in the 9th last night and then pitching to Cespedes today

Well I guess we should just fire him then

His statistics clearly say otherwise.

With half-ass decent players, the squeeze almost always works.

Yes. I wasn't on here lastnight. I was watching from home. But letting Gavin start the 8th at about 120 pitches was awful.

The squeeze is what it is...but the Cespedes hit is the difference in the game right now. Pitching to him there was Ozzie s***.

But you know we can't rely on Morel to make contact.

He's trying to make chicken salad out of chicken s*** there.
