daggins
Is this how it works? Kanny already played, rolling to a 7-0 victory. Solid, if unspectacular turn from Snodgress, and 2.1 more innings of wildly effective wildness from Jefferson Olacio. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...kanafx_romafx_1 B'Ham off Charlotte at 6:00ET, Purple Phallus at 7:05ET

caulfield12
Most importantly, Phegley with a 13 game hitting streak, still at .387 with a double. If Mitchell, Phegley and 2 of our young starters can emerge as legit candidates for everyday action in 2013 (irrespective of what happens with the major league roster), that would be a huge victory. So much for Conor Jackson being healthy again.

winninguglyin83
Isn't this the best Jordan Danks has played? three hits, two doubles up to .286. still strikes out too much, but his 17 walks are fourth in the IL. with his glove and left-handed bat, hope? JPN366
QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 08:15 PM) E: Martinez, O 4 (8, fielding, missed catch, fielding, fielding), Kuhn 4 (4, fielding, throw, fielding, fielding) Hahahahahahahahaha. They took away one of Kuhn's errors. So, 7 errors by the middle infielders, 5 of which were fielding. That can't be a coincidence, there's gotta be a reason for that. caulfield12
Normally you'd think the Syracuse scorekeeper would give a lot more hits to the home team, right? What do you mean, not a coincidence? That Kuhn and Ozzie Martinez don't have very good defensive chemistry/communication between each other?
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 1, 2012 -> 12:35 AM) Normally you'd think the Syracuse scorekeeper would give a lot more hits to the home team, right? What do you mean, not a coincidence? That Kuhn and Ozzie Martinez don't have very good defensive chemistry/communication between each other? Like maybe the field was in terrible condition for some reason, or they all forgot to wear gloves today.

Hell, if he can play good OF defense and put up a .220/.300/.400 line from the left side of the plate, that's worthy of a spot on the bench if nothing else. NorthSideSox72
To further illustrate the point about those errors, Kuhn made 3... after having none the entire season until now. Possible he and Martinez just had bad games, but, that does seem a bit ridiculous. W-S hit 5 home runs, including two by Shoemaker, who now has a .345/.415/.607/1.022 line. I realize he isn't really a prospect, but when you wipe the floor with a league like that, and at too old an age for the league, after hitting well the previous year too... its probably time to move up. And I agree with JPN that KW Jr taking up that spot in AA is just an atrocious thing.

Well, the weather's been pretty dicey in that part of the country the last week, but usually AAA fields are kept in very good condition. Wasn't Syracuse even artificial turf at one point? Can't remember 100%, thought it was the Blue Jays' team before and they wanted to simulate as closely as possible the playing conditions at SkyDome.
