Well, that was a miracle.

Humber's all over the place, his pitch count is elevated and still 0-0.

This game is a gift fo the Sox if they just rise up now and take it. Tomlin has about HALF the number of pitches as Phil, but pretty much the same net result.

BTW, Dunn's "only" ahead of Morel in the K race, 35-27, by eight.

Adam now has 19 walks (almost one per game), Morel a measly 4.

This is about as good as Tomlin will look all year....guys need to wake up. No hits and one baserunner through 3. It's only a matter of time before Phil gives a few up. He isn't overly sharp tonight.

And something about him just tells me he's soft. And Gordon's finish on his swing is about the ugliest thing I've seen in baseball.

Yeah that at bat was so bad. He didn't even watch the ball.

I wonder if he's a mental midget. Last night shoulda sparked him. I mean at least don't strike out.

The thing about Morel's at bat is he swung at 2 pitches that were balls. It was just a horrible at bat. That last strike by Gordon was brutal.

Morels AB was the definition of awful. Took a first pitch right down the pooper and went on to get himself out on soft s*** out of the zone.

So far, the definition of a gutty performance while "laboring" for 10 outs on 69 pitches, almost 7 pitches to earn an out.

That helped, 2 pitches, 2 outs. Now a 71 through 4. Hopefully he can at least get through the sixth and we can score some runs for him. Last time we touched Tomlin for cuatro.

Orioles continuing to impress, taking it to the Yanks again, and Brandon Inge and the A's are giving the Red Sox fits.

And Adam Dunn runs into an 88 MPH cutter that didn't cut, 1-0 Sox. Atta boy, Donkey Kong.

As an aside for Dick Allen, Dunn's current 919 OPS means a lot more to this team now than Thome's did when the average OPS number was 50-75 points higher across the major leagues.

That puts Dunn more or less on his usual 40 homer pace, and only 5 behind last year's total after less than one month of play.

AJ's returned to earth again and now below .300 for the first time in weeks.

Right now I dont know which one I dont want to see in the lineup. I wish we had capable replacements for both of these guys.
