Can't believe AJ swung at that pitch

Looks like the guy has a pretty tough slider. I'm ready to see whichever reliever is next

Now who do you go to in the bullpen?

You're going to burn through Reed when we needed him an inning earlier to keep the game tied?

How/why is Thornton in the game now?

This is ridiculously bad managing tonight. First, he manages "not to lose," like the prevent defense using Ohman. Now we're going to burn our best reliever down by 1?

Makes no sense at all.

That looked a lot different in slow motion. He might have been out.

I just can't believe how out he was on a pitch like that. Bad baserunning.

I don't know what that was. Like a brutally planned hit and run.

And that's why I hate running with 2 strikes. Too many hitters either get distracted or try to protect it seems.

Thornton's in now? Holy cow, this continues to make Ventura's decision look even worse.

The Sox are either going to tie it in the bottom of the 9th or win or lose. There isn't a save situation to be had for the home team tonight. Might as well use your closer to keep it as close as possible.

Not even Ozzie Guillen would have mismanaged the pen this badly tonight.

He was smart about ONE thing. You just don't want Matt Thornton facing Travis Hafner EVER. He got away with Ohman against Hafner the first time.

Zach Stewart or Nathan Jones time, lol.

The Sox are at home. They aren't playing for the save anymore

Coming into tonight, Hannahan was batting .341 vs RHP and .167 vs LHP. Again, not an excuse in the world to let him face a lefty. Looks like it's elementary anyways.

Might as well use your best reliever (who's not our designated closer) to get the last out in the 8th if needed.
