caulfield12
That wasn't dramatic enough!!! Now for once this season, do something right White Sox. Name Reed the closer and send Santiago to the minors. He simply has to work on getting those fastballs down in the zone, and work on his location/command and offspeed stuff. And while they're at it, put Lillibridge at 3B. Or Kuhn. Or anyone but Morel/Escobar.

caulfield12
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 5, 2012 -> 05:54 PM) Sale and Reed could be the anchors for the best bullpen in baseball for years. Just remember that when Axelrod and Stults are pitching the next two days, lol. And one forgets that Nathan Jones had an important scoreless inning of work there. chw42
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 5, 2012 -> 05:54 PM) Sale and Reed could be the anchors for the best bullpen in baseball for years. They are almost the same pitcher in terms of pitches and velocity. Both are fastball/slider guys. Reed's got more of a hard slider, Sale's is more curve-ball like. Balta1701
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ May 5, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) I wonder if it's the slider or the change that's hurting his arm. And the fact that he throws a 96 mph fastball from Liriano's arm slot.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 5, 2012 -> 05:56 PM) Add Jones and Santiago to that mix and it's like a Pinella wet dream Jones is a right handed Matt Thornton if he throws enough strikes. I'm not very high on Santiago myself, but if he's the 5th or 6th option, we have seen worse.
