caulfield12
Breaks the string of poor results in Detroit. We're now 3-11 in our last 14 at Comerica. Tigers were 77-0 last year when leading after 7 innings, this year they've ALREADY lost 5 games. Doubt they continue that pace and lose 27 for the entire season, but that's a difference most of us expected with Valverde being 49/49 last year in saves converted. And Floyd, ever since we acquired him, has been best against the Tigers of all AL teams.

Interesting since they are always so good offensively.
jeffro2525
Biggest hit of Dunns White Sox career right there. THAT is what team leaders do. When the team is down and out the big guys step up and put the team on their backs. HUGE WIN!

Cali
Valverde: Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Bet he wasn't dancing after that. Piece of s***. Saw the highlight of Dunn's ball. Piece of s***. Saw the highlight of Dunn's ball. I don't think it's even landed yet. Christ was that CRUSHED... They said the Tigers fans tried to throw the ball back. It took three different throws to get it from where it landed, back on to the field

Marty34
Huge win. Let's see what Axelrod can do against a lineup that is bound to produce better than it has so far. Tough situation for him, but it is what it is.

When the team is down and out the big guys step up and put the team on their backs. HUGE WIN! 1.) Good call. Like the announcers said this loss was just as painful for Detroit as Friday's was for the Sox. 2.) Dunn has hit some big home runs this year. He's actually earned his contract this year. No complaints about him. Reed looked great. There's no reason in the world to not give him the next save opportunity. Why in the world would you insert Sale as closer when it's Reed's time? Kyyle23
So they said that ball, which cleared the bleachers, went 422 feet. The Centerfield fence is 420 feet from home plate. There is no way in hell that ball went only 422 feet

FWIW, Hafner's hit the longest home run of the season at 481 feet. Video: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_...61&c_id=mlb I think Dunn's went just as far. hogan873
I just watched the replay of Dunn's homerun. That was easily 450 feet. I like how the announcers said it took two relays to get it back on the field.
