Magnus
Jefferson Joseph Olacio, LHP - Bristol Sox Born 01/16/1994 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic 6’7”, 230 Throws/Bats: L/L Jefferson Olacio, 18 years old, is a huge guy at 6’7” and 230 lbs. He signed with White Sox for $125 000 in 2010 and played in the Dominican Summer League White Sox last year. He had big control problems last year with a 9.08 BB/9 but he also had a K/9 to match. He has a great fastball and is working on his curve and change-up. Jefferson spent the 2012 season split between Kannapolis and Bristol. His BB/9 is down from awful 9.08 to still not very good 6.00. His SO/9 is also down, 8.34. Turning 19 in January 2013 he's still very young. He was part of the instructional league squad this fall. OilCan
What does he throw? I'm thinking FB, CH and something else. Thanks.
Magnus
QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 03:55 AM) What does he throw? I'm thinking FB, CH and something else. Thanks. I have currently no update of his pitching arsenal. His FB is great and he's supposed to have a CH and a curve but I'm not sure about the quality of those. flavum
Starting for Kannapolis on Monday. 6'7", 270 pound, 19-year-old. He may be the Sox most intriguing prospect.

NorthSideSox72
Recent reports of his FB velocity are mid-high 80's. That's a far cry from the mid-90's he was hitting last year. Same guy reported he had some very inconsistent delivery aspects as well. Not sure if he is figuring out his now-much-bigger body, or they are slowing him down on purpose, or what. knightni
Struggling as a reliever after being removed from starting; still hasn't had a sub 4.50 ERA at any level. Posted a 5.00+ ERA at Winston Salem this year.
