flavum
Crain--K, HBP, pop out, pop out. Doyle in now. Edited May 11, 2012 by flavum
caulfield12
So Crain will be back Monday, Santiago, Stults or Stewart will be sent down. You can make credible arguments for why all three should go (and be starting in AAA) and why all three should stay.
flavum
What's got into Doyle tonight? 10 k's in 5 innings. You can understand why the Twins couldn't keep him, but do you think they'd like him back now?
flavum
Semien with a homer. 17-game hitting streak. How's his D? Edited May 12, 2012 by flavum
caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ May 11, 2012 -> 06:46 PM) What's got into Doyle tonight? 10 k's in 5 innings. You can understand why the Twins couldn't keep him, but do you think they'd like him back now? The Twins have a lot more problems than their 5th starter/last man in the bullpen. Remember, they also gave up on Humber. They probably viewed him the same way many view Dylan Axelrod (well, the way we did too, as we didn't protect him). flavum
Leyson Septimo seemed to be used every day in spring training, but it looks like he goes every 3-4 days now. Anyway, he's been good when he's been used. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?p...&pid=465015
JPN366
QUOTE (flavum @ May 11, 2012 -> 07:46 PM) What's got into Doyle tonight? 10 k's in 5 innings. You can understand why the Twins couldn't keep him, but do you think they'd like him back now? He throws 5 pitches, all for strikes. An innings eater/K machine. NorthSideSox72
Keenyn Walker's last 8 games, hitting .320, .469 OBP, 7-for-8 in steal attempts, and more walks than K's. Ravelo continues to do pretty well for a 20-year-old. I still can't find any info on his D though.

Until he can show some power in his bat, he will be another Jon Gilmore type prospect
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ May 12, 2012 -> 05:33 PM) Until he can show some power in his bat, he will be another Jon Gilmore type prospect Except no one was expecting power from Ravelo, at least not now... and Gilmore at Kanny at 20 put up a .274/.322/.361 line. Ravelo is at .305/.348/.430, despite being in a mini-slump right now. Also, Gilmore (if I recall correctly) was always seen as a 3B, while I thought Ravelo was a middle infielder at one time. This is why I was asking about his defense.
