NOW the Sox welcome the free-spending Tigers to the South Side. Welcoming the p****cats to Chicago will be... John Danks...who is very excited for something. Countering him will be... Gary Oldman George Smiley Drew Smyly. Seen here...not smiling. Smyly leads the league in ERA, but the Sox lit him up for two runs (a lot for both the Sox and Smyly) and he's been plagued by John Dank's Syndrome: s***ty run support. And who cares about his ERA? Danks is a far better pitcher than we've seen so far, and he made progress his last outing. His ERA is headed down, he'll continue to improve. Smyly pitched in only 23 minor league games in his career, and he's currently leading the league in ERA? Below 2? Not sustainable. He's got weaknesses, they will be found, soon. His ERA has to go up.
