Poor Morel. (Chris Snopek managed a career OPS of 639 and he was REALLY bad).

3 times up, hasn't gotten the ball out of the infield.

I guess MLB is considering having the fake throw to 3B and then back to 1st be declared a balk beginning in 2013.

Jack McDowell is probably busy penning a response to the USA Today and Commish's Office.

Just for fun, I decided to look up who Morel homered against in September last year. Only one of them is a starter in the majors still, but there's a few relievers still around:

- Brad Penny

- David Huff

- Frank Herrmann

- Rick Porcello

- David Pauley

- Tim Collins

- Chad Durbin

- Everett Teaford

He is on his way. Coming in to today, Pujols, Aybar, Boesch, Bryd, and Ike Davis have all been worse. Pujols may have jumped him by now, though.

I mean you cant just keep trotting him out there. He looks absolutely bewildered right now.

Worst OPS by at least 42 points right now.

How do you have an OPS of 400?

I didn't even know that was possible until this season.

Marlon Byrd has to be happy that Brent's around make him look better in Beantown.

BTW, Sox were very much in the mix for Trout in the weeks before the draft, IIRC. Some mock drafts had them taking him, but went with Mitchell instead. It wasn't a terrible decision at the time, regardless of what has happened since.

I hope they seriously don't give Morel's at-bats to Escobar.

They have to try and see if Lillibridge can get hot again. If nothing else, if Brent gets on, it's like an automatic double or triple.

Mike Trout's early season problems seem to be a thing of the past. He's getting on-base nearly every time now.

Angels' announcers pointing out the obvious, that Crain's fastball is very straight.

Trout out on the basepaths twice tonight.

That was bound to happen. Angels should defer some of Pujols' salary to the White Sox for waking him.

Reinsdorf's Chicago American League Ballclub - for whatever ails you

And a walk.

Just not sure where he could play next year. They're not going to move Rios.

The only way would be if Viciedo was moved to 1B/DH and Dunn was traded.

Orioles and the Royals in the top of the 15th now thanks to Broxton's blown save.

Mitchell isn't ready next year for the majors. He's not someone they need to rush, especially with De Aza playing as a better version of him right now.

And therein lies the problem. Our best hitting prospect doesn't do anything to help our team until at least 2014.

That leaves 3B, C, 2B as major question marks going forward.

And who knows if Alexei will ever return to being a 700 OPS hitter.
