And Brandon League has successfully blown the save in Cleveland. Winning run on 3B for Cleveland with 1 out; Travis Hafner to the plate.

With a RHP on the mound, the Indians REPLACE lefty hitting Travis Hafner with right handed hitter Aaron Cunningham. All they needed was a fly ball.....??

Generally changing speeds and locations are encouraged......

lol changing speeds on your fastball, not so much.

if the locations were all in/near the strike zone, I'd be down for that!

but hey, he's making the pitches he needs so far.

Beckham is clearly looking to go to the right side now on nearly every pitch.

That's resulting in opposing pitchers throwing inside on him...Gordon has to learn how to turn on those pitches again.

It's one thing to look up the middle or just to make solid contact, but limiting yourself to 1/3rd of the field (where it's very hard for you to drive the ball out), not such a good strategy. Gordon out-thinking himself again.

Apparently, Mike Scioscia inquired about Beckham (with Ed Farmer) and wanted to know the backstory about his personality and make-up...said the Angels would be interested in acquiring him.

Probably to play 3b then, as they have Kendrick at 2nd. Knowing KW, he'll go after Callapso just cause he's a Sox killer.
