Jake
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) It's a slap in the face to Paulie who could have his career ended by the pitch. It's unbelievable. Winning this game > hitting Samardzija today
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:41 PM) That was a bad call If DeJesus is out, then A-Rod's tomahawk chop at first should have been legal (not that Beckham did it on purpose)
oldsox
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 18, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) Tank is probably never going to be much of a fielder, but he can throw. If Dunn is in left, the ball goes through.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:34 PM) No. Guy I went to HS with is his cousin somewhere in there. Same last name. Hmm...same for me. I am good friends with his cousin Dave, same last name. I know his family, so I am wondering who you know.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (Jake @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) The only argument is the one that Stone lightly made -- that the slide was so hard that it made the collision happen. No way. Gordon went through the runner like a running back hitting a LB. He knocked him off of the base. That was a terrible call.
greg775
Here it's NL rules and you have a chance to throw at the person who injured your best player and you don't even throw one over his head or hit him in the back? Hard to understand.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) It's a slap in the face to Paulie who could have his career ended by the pitch. It's unbelievable. You've got to retaliate and drill him or at least throw one over his head. Humber threw at LaHair, their 1B and slugger. its over dude
Harry Chappas
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:43 PM) Who said anything about career ending? As of now he has a cut under his eye. Didn't that end Kirby Puckett's career?

southsider2k5
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) Here it's NL rules and you have a chance to throw at the person who injured your best player and you don't even throw one over his head or hit him in the back? Hard to understand. Understand this. You lose your starting pitcher for this game, plus a start or two due to suspension. You have Zach Stewart pitch 4-5 innings here, plus have to call up a minor leaguer to fill in for the suspension.

greg775
Wait a minute, I didn't realize Humber did throw at a Cub. That was good enough. My bad. Pisses me off that Paulie was drilled like that, though.

Harry Chappas
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) Understand this. You lose your starting pitcher for this game, plus a start or two due to suspension. You have Zach Stewart pitch 4-5 innings here, plus have to call up a minor leaguer to fill in for the suspension. Not defending Greg but if you lose Konerko for this season the rest of your statement is irrelevant. The guy is becoming an icon with how good of a hitter and person he has become. If he played on the northside he would be the biggest thing since Ryno up there if not bigger.
