BTW, Chris Sale has already eclipsed his WAR (1.4) from last season this year (1.5 before this start today, that will go up by .3 after this start I bet). Good thing we kept him in the rotation.

Yes! What a steal that was...Zach Stewart is contributing valuable innings while THAT guy sits on the DL!

Neener neener!

He started yesterday and threw 5 innings of 2 run ball.

I say we put him back in the bullpen.

For those like myself that have chastised this organization without remorse the last 2-3 years for the complete inability to produce young, cost-controlled, impact talent the last decade or so - NOW WE'RE TALKING!!! It's about f***ing time. In Sale, Viciedo and Reed - we're looking at a potential #1 starter with Xbox on speed type stuff, a run-producing offensive beast god who deposits missiles all over the damn place and a Craig Kimbrel like android in which you know once he enters the game that it's time for hitters to bend over and take it like a porn star.

These three are cheap and belong to us for the next X amount of years. That's how you build a juggernaut and go on a sustained run. This is the new-age way of running a successful baseball operation. I am for now very please.

J4L needs a high-five for this. :cheers

And more of a selfish manager destroying the GMs biggest acquisitions.

Hawk made a point today of telling how Dunn said at the end of spring training that he's never had so much fun and according to Hawk it was because of Ventura and the attitude he brings that wasn't here the past few years.

Hawk can talk all he wants. All I have to do is look at the results on the field over the last few years. Look at guys like Nick Swisher who were great before they got here, absolutely f***ing sucked while here, and then were great again when they left. Adam Dunn who was the most consistent player in all of baseball for a freaking decade, has the worst season in the history of baseball, and then is back to himself again. Alex Rios did the same thing. All guys that Guillen hated and b****ed about.

I'm not sure there's a solid arguement against this. Where's Marty? I'm sure he'll refute it just because it's Guillen's pipeline.

I agree with you 100%. I just thought it was funny coming from Hawk who was one of Ozzie's biggest supporters/apologists when he was here.

Let's face it. Is Hawk ever critical of someone wearing currently our uniform?

I loved Guillen when he got here. he was the perfect guy to follow Manuel. But he never got that his fight with Kenny wasn't more important than winning baseball games. For that matter his fight with anyone wasn't more important than winning baseball games. His ego just set this franchise back years.

Are we including Peavy and Viciedo as well?

Excuse me. It seems I somehow misspelled controlled in the thread title. Can somebody please eradicate that? It just doesn't look right. We all can't be as perfect as Kalapse.

Why must I do everything for you?
