southsider2k5
http://www.csnchicago.com/baseball-chicago...07104972732-914 Dunn equals 2011 home run total in one month May 28, 2012, 8:25 pm JJ STANKEVITZ Adam Dunn's two-run home run proved to be all the run support a dominant Chris Sale needed on Monday. It also served as a reminder as to just how significant his turnaround has been in 2012. Last year, Dunn hit just 11 home runs in 122 games. With his sixth-inning blast off Tampa Bay lefty Matt Moore, Dunn equaled that total in 27 games during May. Dunn now has hit four of his 16 home runs off left-handers, and while his offensive numbers against southpaws aren't great, he's hardly a black hole against them anymore. The projection system ZiPS has Dunn pegged to hit 36 home runs this season, which would be right in line with his years in Washington. He's getting on base in the .380 range, which is where his OBP sat from 2004-2009. And as the White Sox battle for first place -- albeit, still early in the season -- Dunn's been as important a part of the Sox success as anyone. southsider2k5
Daryl Van Schouwen @CST_soxvan Eight of Adam Dunn's 16 homers have given the Sox the lead. Three came when trailing, five broke a tie.
ScottyDo
If the number 2011 were removed from the set of all numbers, I'd be thrilled. F*** that awful, miserable year.
hogan873
I think it's safe to say 2011 was an outlier. The guy has been huge for this team this year.
Swingandalongonetoleft
The do whatever it takes to get rid of Dunn ideas that began floating around late June-early July were premature and frightening to say the least.
Steve9347
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ May 29, 2012 -> 10:25 AM) The do whatever it takes to get rid of Dunn ideas that began floating around late June-early July were premature and frightening to say the least. Frightening? Take it easy champ, stop typing for awhile!
Swingandalongonetoleft
Really? I think signing Dunn to that deal so he could do what he did so well for the last eleventy years, getting his 2011 performance, and then taking someone's unwanted baggage just to ditch him- only to see a swift correction from Dunn- that's a pretty big egg in KW's face if he's that impatient...at least to me it is.
