Tom Paciorek

I truly enjoyed the broadcast the last two nights. Granted the games were great entertainment on their own but I think Paciorek brings out the absolute best in Hawk.

Stone adds absolutely nothing to the broadcast and has coasted on his media reputation from his old cub days in my opinion.

If Brooks Boyer is listening he would realize that Tom Paciorek is much better than Ed Farmer, DJ and Stone.

Bring back the Wimperoo.

GO GO WHITE SOX!

You are wrong. Stoney is amazing but Hawk got board with him. However, DJ and Farmer have to be launched. They are awful bad.

To be clear, I have nothing against Paciorek, but Hawk always pushes guys out eventually.

Stone is a professional analyst. He does a good job, but he's not a great pair with Hawk. They're different personalities. Wimpy doesn't do a bad job per se, but It appears that he and Hawk are just more comfortable together.

DJ and Farmer are funny as hell. They kind of suck at describing the game (especially DJ), but they have good chemistry and can be fun to listen to.

This. They're god awful as baseball announcers but they're insanely entertaining.

And as has been said before, when Hawk has someone different to work with, it brings out the best in him for a little while. He had that energy when Stoney came aboard as well then he either just gets bored or his large ego gets in the way.

So they are bad at what they are paid to do...

Well it is an opinion so neither can be wrong but I have never heard Stone say anything amazing. The Chicago media loved him from his cub days and I think he is coasting on that reputation.

As long as this team keeps playing as well as they are currently they can broadcast the games in a foreign language and I will like it!

Go GO WHITE SOX.

I can't stand Ed Farmer and it just ruins the radio broadcast for me, especially since DJ has little to offer as far as describing the game or interacting with such a moron.

I was very sad to see DJ go since it did seem like he and Hawk had finally got things rolling. I've liked this run with Wimpy but there is a certain blandness to him. Not so much that he doesn't have personality, but that he doesn't say much of substance. This may just be because he's been out of the booth and doesn't follow the White Sox though.

Having listened to Stoney as part of the radio tandem, we fully know what he's capable of bringing. Stone is not "coasting", he's a legit analyst who knows his stuff to an astounding degree. I just REALLY wish Hawk was more receptive to him. Waaaay too much silence and distance between them, both metaphorically and literally.

He's always been intimidated by Hawk and more or less just does anything he can to appease him...but his self-deprecating sense of humor has always made me laugh. I respect people who don't take themselves too seriously...and Paciorek is definitely such a person, despite his many accomplishments. That and the fact he always roots on the Poles will always make me laugh.

It can certainly get old on a losing streak though.

The team is playing well, here's another thread to b**** about the announcers.

Enjoy life, people.

Summer is coming. Sox are winning.

You, are the LAST PERSON that can say anything to ANYONE about their attitude on here, Mr 775...

Farmer is f***ing awful. DJ is great. People forget how awesome he and hawk were by the end of their run. That said I don't want Stone to leave anytime soon.

This. I listen to them almost every night. DJ says something once a game that is laugh out loud funny.

Stone has some of the best insight and in game analysis out there, his ability to call pitches amazes me every game. If you think he doesn't bring any analysis to the game cast then you clearly aren't listening or your definition of analysis is "chopper two hopper."
