hogan873
I still say the only response here is to win the game, sweep the series. Maybe when the Rays come to the Cell they can plunk a guy.

greg775
QUOTE (Allsox @ May 30, 2012 -> 08:17 PM) I didn't care about the beanfest until my favorite Sox player of this season, Alejandro De Aza, got hurt by this nonsense. Sweep these f***ers out of this roller dome, that's the right way to make them pay DeAza is one of the feel-good stories in all of baseball. Hopefully he'll soak that knee real good on the day off. I bet he misses one game max. I bet they call it a bruise.

RockRaines
The Rays are headhunters, pretty obvious Wegner has money on this game. No other reason to eject a pitcher who had a 1-hitter going

Peavy, Rios and Dunn all qualify as more "feel good" stories than DeAza. Heck, Humber's perfecto alone has garnered more attention Crain will come in next. Although umpire supervisor Charlie Reliford was clear that no warning is needed by the ump was deemed to be intentional. Which it surely was. Crain vs. Rodriguez. flavum
Unless Quintana was throwing at the head, the right call would be to warn both benches. He basically did what Humber did to Lahair. Bad umpiring. But Hawk needs to tone it down a little. Again, he's not on the team.

ChiliIrishHammock24
It's been interesting reading a Rays message board after the Q incident. After he was thrown out, they all were saying "f*** AJ!" "AJ is an asshole", and basically everyone blamed AJ for the throw behind Zobrist, and also no one there said anything about it being a bad call. Then, when De Aza got hit, someone said "Good, I hope his career is over", and later referred to De Aza as a baby back b**** who can't keep his legs together, and getting hit was his own fault. THEEEEENNN, someone posted about hearing the possibility of Howell hitting De Aza on purpose, and they said it's nearly impossible to have that kind of control, and that AJ fouling those pitches in to Molina seemed more likely to be on purpose than Howell trying to hit De Aza. Asshole umps.
