sunofgold
I am thinking there is going to be a Sale at the All Star Game. Sweet. Good winning start for June for ChrisSale! Complete game to save a weary bullpen. That is ace to me.

LittleHurt05
White Sox are 2 for 2. Danks, Floyd, or Humber, step up to the table.
TitoMB345
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 07:13 PM) White Sox are 2 for 2. Danks, Floyd, or Humber, step up to the table. I'd be perfectly okay if it went Peavy/Sale/Peavy/Sale/Peavy/Sale

southsider2k5
Scott Merkin @scottmerkin Sale leads the AL in ERA, is tied for lead in wins and is fourth in WHIP
southsider2k5
Scott Merkin @scottmerkin Chris Sale or David Price would probably be the AL All-Starter as of today.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 08:11 AM) Scott Merkin @scottmerkin Chris Sale or David Price would probably be the AL All-Starter as of today. Personally, I would prefer that it's David Price because Sale is unavailable to pitch in the game. No need to waste his arm in an exhibition. RME JICO
The ESPN CY Predictor has Sale 2nd behind Fernando Rodney, and Peavy 5th. Darvish is 3rd, but gets some silly victory bonus that bumps his numbers up. Right now it seems like Sale, Price, Peavy, Sabathia, and Weaver are all in the mix. Sale and Peavy are also doing it at the Cell with the 2nd highest park factor (after Coors). http://espn.go.com/mlb/features/cyyoung

SoxAce
Man I hope this kid's arm holds up for years. Such a stud already. Even the announcers for other teams don't wanna see Sale in a series. Respect.
hogan873
You can't help but be impressed by this kid. At 23, he could have quite a career ahead of him. I hope his arms holds out. His motion is funky, but as I've learned from a pitching instructor that's helping my son, if a pitcher keeps his head straight and has an equal and opposite motion with his glove arm, that'll go a long way to prevent injury. It was neat to see him throwing 95 in the 9th inning yesterday, and that slider...damn.

southsider2k5
QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 12:05 PM) What do you think of an innings cap on Sale this year? I think Sale will dictate whether it is needed or not. Watch his velocity and stuff, and keep on top of soreness type issues. You want to push his innings as far you can to build his conditioning, but you don't want to hurt him in the process.

ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 01:05 PM) What do you think of an innings cap on Sale this year? I would let the rest of the team dictate that. If we suck again, shut him down. If we are so good we have a big divisional lead, skip a few of his starts. If it's close, ride him out until he can't pitch any more.
