Did Jordan get another hit? I need to stop changing the channel.

Or perhaps this just means Jordan only gets hits when I'm not watching.

:)

I love love love Ale'...he is such a stud

I'm ok with pulling Sale after this inning, honestly. If we are going to truly practice innings management with him, there's no reason to push him today.

I'm an anti-innings limit guy. There's no way to know what kind of innings limit to put in there. I would look at number of starts and number of pitches/start as the best measure. Shouldn't be Chris's fault that he pitches efficiently.

Oh, I agree with you. I'm saying that if that's the route the White Sox do intend to take - capping his innings or whatever - I'd be ok with ending his starts sooner at this point in the year when the game isn't really in doubt so that we might be able to utilize him more later in the year.

End Sale at 80 pitches, then.

Of course, 80 pitches could be 4 innings, it could be 6 innings, it could be 7.

How can you truly measure innings limits?

Why not have a season-long total pitch limit if they're that concerned?

Because however you do it, it's going to be messy down the stretch. I still think the right thing to do, if you're worried, is to give Sale a break every 5th or 6th start. Use mr offday or a callup. Doing so right now could be rough since we're missing Danks, but when Danks comes back, use that to give Sale a skpped start.
