BigSqwert
At this point they should rename it the Chris Sale award instead of the Cy Young.

Cali
Wowza looking ahead, Sale's next start is vs. Kershaw. That is a big time pitching match up.
greg775
Sale is so good it's scary. Stewart is really really bad, not that it matters. Great hitting game as well. Nice to bounce back after a bad loss. It'd be very nice to do the same to Houston on Sunday and win the series.

I have to think that favors us since the LA offense is nothing to write home about.

chw42
Went to the game today, great experience. Watching Sale pitch is a pleasure, even if it was from the upper deck.

caulfield12
It's like Atlanta Braves fans in the 90's and early 00's. Getting complacent, assuming Sale will win every start now and not so excited unless he records 10+ K's. Maybe when the score got to be 6-0, everyone turned their attention to the Heat/Celtics, the Belmont Stakes, soccer games in Europe, the fights in Vegas, etc. Edited June 10, 2012 by caulfield12

caulfield12
Upper deck behind the plate are really great seats, as long as it's not cold and windy...or too sunny hot and you're not protected by the roof or overhang. It's the same slant (I think the architectural term is "rake") as Royals Stadium/Kauffman. Now down the lines and at the corners, those seats suck...but still better than many seats in the old stadium, and nothing compared to the obstructed view ones behind the support beams. Yeah, the ones behind home plate aren't bad. I got 3 for $50, which is a pretty decent deal. We sat in row 13 behind the plate and the view was a lot better than I expected. I remember sitting there back in 03 and remembering how high it was. It didn't seem as high this time. You don't get a great idea of the strike zone nor can you judge fly balls all that well (must watch the fielders basically), but it's a gem for the price. I plan on getting those seats again sometime in early July. They offer half-priced or reduced priced tickets on almost every game through some promo codes. ChiliIrishHammock24
I was at the game today too. Section 141, behind the Sox dugout. It was a pleasure watching Sale do work. It's weird how high our expectations were for him. People were outwardly counting off strikeouts, and we were disappointed in ground outs and fly outs. And then when Zach Stewart took the mound, and then proceeded to blow the shutout, we gave him a nice loud round of boos. I was really hoping Robin would at least let Sale take the mound for the 9th so he could get a standing ovation when he exited. That was something Ozzie did really well after a great pitching performance.
ChiliIrishHammock24
Oh also, me and my buddy got 2 BP balls today in the OF. Both were ricochets off the seats. I had one home run ball go right to me, I reached my mitt out, and some jagoff next to me closed my mitt shut and caught it off the top of my glove. I mean, it was impressive that he was able to catch it barehanded (well, with the aid of my glove), but to sabotage my grab was kind of s***ty, especially since he had just gotten one a few batters prior. ChiliIrishHammock24
Oh ALLLLLLSO, we ate lunch at BiCardi in the Park before the game. Really nice place. Food and drinks are overpriced, but not that bad. Burger and fries was $11. It was a 1/2 LB burger, and it was very good.
