7 retired in a row by Sox pitching.

Santiago, considering he has a so-so curveball and is learning his screwball/change at the big league level, hasn't been too bad since being removed from the closer's role.

Hhhmm, I went to see the Sox lose 4-0 last wednesday and he gave up a 2 run bomb in the 9th.

Yeah he only gave up 4 runs and 9 hits

Why does the hit total matter? I could also say he threw 80% scoreless innings. All that matters for these purposes is the run total and the inning total. He may walk away with a win, even

You think he deserves another start?

Do those of you who were calling for the Humber hook realize now that Robin made the right move?

Four runs in three innings are not enough to pull your starter.

Couple of hard hit balls at our defenders and a great diving catch by Alexei saved Humber. He did work ahead in the count more.

I'm glad Robin didn't overreact. With a fresh bullpen I would have pulled him, but with the state of the pen you had to at least try to get more out of him -- it worked
