Steve9347
Katie Baker really is my favorite thing over at Grantland. That said, she power-ranked all the goals from last night. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/940625...s-bruins-goals/

GoSox05
Actually after Sharp scored his goal last night he did like this fist pump thing and than fell down. That would also be a funny gif.

I loved hearing the creative trash talk he was getting like "ill be here all night" I'd love to watch a game from were Pierre McGuire sits. I'm sure the game would be awesome but the talk between teams would probably just as fun. Especially if its in the middle of a playoff series. LittleHurt05
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 05:58 PM) Elevation to see the play > seats on the glass Absolutely. Best seats in the house are around row 10 or so. Our tickets are in row 10 (in the 300 level)

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 07:46 AM) You can get all that stuff 8-10 rows off the ice, without all the view obstructions that come with sitting on the glass. Exactly. If you literally have Pierre's seat and can lean over the ice with no glass, great...otherwise the close rows actually suck. You also can't see play development that well when you are right on top of everything. I'm more about seeing the game than the sounds (which you can hear from SRO anyway). It's the same as football - watching from field level isn't the best place to see the game.

clyons
Alain Vigneault has been hired by the Rangers. Maybe my Canuck-hate has clouded my judgment, but it seems a strange choice for a team that just fired its coach over a lack of playoff success (among other things). IlliniKrush
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 11:31 AM) You can see play development from the ice if you know what you are looking for. Except you can't see through the glass, it's all distorted. And if you're behind a net, so you can see the whole ice, you can't see the other end very well at all. I guess there's got to be a reason scouts prefer to watch the game with some elevation, even as high as the press box, instead of right on the ice. That or none of us have any idea what we're looking for.

IMO, more of the blame for Vancouver's struggles lies with Gillis...but I don't think ownership wanted to dump the whole staff and the GM, so AV took the fall on that one. That or none of us have any idea what we're looking for. About 20 rows up is the best look in my mind. The glass is neat if you are 6 but other than that the back rows of the lower bowl and the 200 level is perfect.
