LittleHurt05
Did that really just happen last night? Holy s***. What a year. From not knowing when/if the season was gonna start, the unbeaten streak, the escape vs. Detroit, then that ending. Wow. Way to go Blackhawks. In the summer of 2008, a buddy texted me "The Blackhawks are back, who is in for season tickets?". My interest in the Hawks had waned for obvious reasons, but I said yes, was all in again, and what a 5 year run it has been.
Steve9347
That was, seriously, the most ridiculous end to a sports game I have ever seen. That type of amazing, clutch s*** just does not happen. Geoff Blum previously held the "omg that just happened" play of my lifetime, and that has now been handed over to the tandem of Bickell and Bolland. Twenty four undefeated games to start the season combined with the ridiculous comeback against the hated Red Wings AND the downing of the "unstoppable" Jonathan Quick and Tuuka Rask = best.season.ever. Eat s***, Bruins. See you turds on Friday.

Kyyle23
When bolland scored that goal, his stick and gloves were pinned down by a Bruins player (Lucic?), and as the camera panned away to a celebrating Bolland, I looked at the player in the background, you could just see the air come out of him and the building right there. The Hawks had no quit in them with a minute and change left, down one. What an amazing ending. And dear god, the injury list. Holy s***
LittleHurt05
The goalies were outstanding of course, the stars did their thing, but how f***ing huge were Frolik & Kruger this season. The way they just clicked and then dominated on the penalty kill was big all year. They may have struggled to score power play goals, but they didn't give many up either. Jake
I remember the almost-comeback against Vancouver and the ultimate heartbreak. Then a more promising year, Raffi Torres demolishing Hossa, and me wanting to dismember Corey Crawford. Now...this. I was sheepish about continuing to be an active fan after the lockout, but I knew it wasn't the Blackhawks fault no matter how I felt about the NHL. I ponied up for NHL Gamecenter for the first time instead of just occasionally bootlegging the games while I was at school. The streak was already one of the most fun runs of hockey I've ever seenn...and then these playoffs. I've been a mess. All worth it now. Crazy to think about how different the status of a guy like Coach Q is after this compared to, say, a loss when we were down 3-1 to Detroit. I still remember how bad we were when I started watching hockey with my dad...we sucked, the home games weren't on TV, but then there was a glimmer of hope. A kid named Toews, a kid named Kane, and very soon a collection of budding stars made us relevant again. It felt so special then that I can't believe it took us so long to win again, but then again it seems impossible to win. /ramble /love these guys

clyons
Karma dictated that I stay at the same friend's house I had watched almost all of the playoffs (on a 70" screen), despite no power. All of us stayed and watched in the dark, first on an Ipad, and when that ran out of juice, my Iphone. Couldn't follow the puck for s***, but it didn't matter. 2013 = 1985 = 1996. Really can't include 2005 in that, because even with a wire-to-wire lead and a one-loss postseason, it didn't achieve that same level of historic, record-breaking domination. Savor this boys and girls, it is special and rare.
Harry Chappas
SI stated that the Blackhawks saved hockey. This post season cemented that cover story. If you are a true hockey fan, that series had to get your jets going. That ending was absolutely stunning. With the manner in which points/goals are scored in hockey and one's inability to control the clock via a stall in soccer, there is no comparison as to how to end a game like that. The injury list of players is incredible.

Hated that guy. I have always felt that Chicago should of been dubbed "hockeytown" many years ago instead of Detroit, but Bill Wirtz singlehandedly prevented that.
