2012-2013 Official NHL thread

I dunno, the Sox parade went about 2 mph and stopped a lot. My wife and I were watching the buses go by for at least a half hour. In 2010 it was a little faster than that, but I was still out there for 10-15 minutes. I didn't go this year, but people were saying they just motored on by. Looked like they were going faster than normal on the WGN live feed.

WE WORKED OUR F*CKING NUTS OFF WOOOOOOOO

Enjoy your train rides home in 5 hours when you finally get out of Grant Park, people. I hope it was worth it.

It was pretty fast.

Whoops, Corey Crawford had some nice beverages this morning and didn't expect to take a mic.

I hope that's not the case. You are only the starting goaltender and English is your first language. You are probably one of the first people they expect to talk.

Did you watch it? They only had certain guys talk as they were announced. It was pre-planned. Kane gave him the belt, which was not in the script, and the fans yelled speeeech and he said a few words, and did appear drunk.

Yeah. He was probably just partying and didn't give a s***.

I'm not watching, but that makes more sense, never mind. Funny that Kaner is the voice of reason.

Kane didn't actually say that, I was just throwing that in there. Hell, he probably said something like that to him at some point.

Duncan Keith really wanted to go Braveheart, I saw him trying to get the mic on for awhile.

He finally got it turned on, but you couldn't tell what he said (at least on NBC) as the newspeople were still talking over it.

These videos they made are not good. I didn't think it was possible to take all the drama out of such an historic Stanley Cup win, but they did.

Um...my guess is they didn't start editing those videos until Tuesday morning. It is Friday morning. That's not easy. Thanks for your input though.

As a video editor myself, It is not easy to have a quick turn around. It probably had to be finalized by Thursday afternoon. So, a little under 2 and a half days.

You must realize that video editors tend to arrive to work around 10, leave at 4, and wear khaki shorts to work. Apparently 60 hours is not enough time to splice a few goals together properly.

I actually thought the video was fine, with or without a short time frame to turn it around. It was a brief summary of goals/saves etc for each win. What exactly was wrong with it?

Also, this is kind of scary:

I'm out of town and it seemed pretty good.

The "almost"crimes scare me but it looks like they managed it well.
