Balta1701
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) There needs to be a line drawn at some point, but I don't know when it will be either. Maybe after the All-Star break. I would have thought they would have done it by now, but that perfect game looms in the background. You always hope he can turn it around I know it's only a few weeks, but I think he'd be on pace for 4 more starts before the break. It'd be hard for me to see how you could keep putting him out there if he gives up 8 runs a start. He'd wind up getting a start a series, so the Brewers, Yankees, Rangers, and Blue Jays would be his opponents.

Mil - Sale, Humber, Quintana Min- Peavy, Floyd, Sale NY- Humber, Quintana, Peavy, Floyd Tex- Sale, Humber, Quintana Tor- Peavy, Floyd, Sale Wouldn't be surprised if Axelrod started the last game before the break, and give Sale an inning in the All-Star Game, and more rest before his first second half start. But really, if Humber sucks on Saturday, he should be out of the rotation and let Axelrod start. And if they decide to send Humber down and bring up Bruney or Heath, fine with me. I don't believe Humber can be sent down without passing through waivers, and frankly I wouldn't expect him to pass through waivers unclaimed. flavum
Looking at the rotation now, maybe Axelrod starts the last game in Minnesota, and Sale goes in the first game in New York. Keep him on a 6-day schedule. In that case , his last start would be July 4th, and then the All-Star Game is 6 days later.
Soxfest
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 03:38 PM) I hope Stewart is starting in AAA. I never liked using him out of the pen. He can start and stay in AAA for good.
greg775
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 08:33 PM) My guess is Humber's next start is his last stand. Thank God Zach is gone. It shows how bad our talent evaluators are, letting him start last night's game. I'm very surprised they didn't just release him, but I guess no harm letting him get shelled in AAA games. You are prolly right about Humber. He's been pathetic.
caulfield12
Greg, shouldn't the Royals have released half their pitching staff with that theory? Or maybe more?

Because he can't pitch, for starters. Now that he's in the minors it doesn't matter to me, really, either way. I don't have to read about his failures or see them.
