If you had the game on as background noise you probably wouldn't notice it. The articles mention that he was trying to say one thing and the wrong words came out- kind of like his wires were crossed, but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere whether or not he realized what he was saying or if he heard what he meant to say instead.
