Does Kevin have a Gold Glove? is he decent defensively?

We don't have to make any more 25 man roster changes.

Kevin U in, BSBridge out. Doesn't Boston want some Fu-Ku?

When healthy, Youkilis was "average" at 3b and a really good 1b. He hasn't been healthy this year so his 3b play hasn't really been anything to write home about.

You're getting him hopefully for his bat, and hoping that playing 3b doesn't kill his body.

Red Sox picking up roughly $5.6 million of Youkilis' deal so White Sox paying $2.5 million

Not that it matters much, but Boston side says he's owed 6.5 million more this season so my math says 1.9 million.

Trade clears yet another space on the 40 man roster.

We now have bench guys in Escobar and JorDanks that can each play 3 positions (and I wouldn't mind Danks reprising Elf's role as occasional/post pinch-running for Paulie 1b), and if we've learned anything about RV, he likes to go with his horses and over-manage the pen. :lolhitting

Do we possibly add another bullpen arm instead of going the more traditional route? Septimo, Leal, SRodriguez, Omogrosso, Remenowsky, or another? Could be interesting.

Also, Hector has pitched very little lately. Would now be a good time to get him stretched out as another starter in AAA? I think he has the ability, and his current role seems rather vague.

Viciedo doesn't deserve the demotion and Youk doesn't deserve to hit in front of him. Yet.

I think your should hit in front of him tbh. We all know his .obp is going to be higher and viciedo isn't exactly setting the world on fire either

We have to hold onto Odawg right now. He now has played third. hope he just keeps practicing at third. You never know.

Hell, the dude had 4 RBI yesterday and was a big part of a win. I'm not dropping him in the order for a guy hitting .225 right now. If he comes out and hits like healthy Kevin Youkilis, then in a week I'll agree and in 2 weeks he'll be hitting 5th.

He's doing just fine, and now that interleague is over, he can find a rhythm again. Patience, please.

Youk's not good at 3B, but you can play him there without worrying too much.

There is some b****ing he is too old.

If it counts, I'm the most skeptical, just not sure he's healthy based on his numbers this season. It's totally a reasonable risk given the lack of anything from 3b this team has gotten this year. I'm just not handing Youkilis the 5th spot in the lineup until he shows that he's actually healthy.

He had 4rbi yesterday which brings him to a grand total of 6 this month. Dude isn't doing well and I trust the guy who takes walks to snap out of it first.
