ILMOU
QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:17 PM) He had 4rbi yesterday which brings him to a grand total of 6 this month. Dude isn't doing well and I trust the guy who takes walks to snap out of it first. He's missed MANY games this month due to interleague, or has only been a PH. maggsmaggs
KW: "He hasn't felt this good physically in a long time." Biggest cliche in the book. Edited June 24, 2012 by maggsmaggs
Andy the Clown
They are minimum wage guys. Zach is probably still on a two way contract that pays him less while in the minors. At tops it is a million dollars, and the Red Sox would be paying it. Combined, Brent and ZS are making about 1 million this year. So really, the Sox are only adding 1 million in payroll. Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 10:16 PM) KW has never made a mid-season trade where the player(s) helped send the team into the playoffs that season. Let's hope this is the first. Blum doesn't count haha Griffey

flavum
Rongey is still quoting that bogus Boston radio twitter account about the Thornton rumor yesterday. What an idiot.

JPN366
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 05:03 PM) So the big question now is...will Danks give up his #20 to Youk? Can't, new rule against number changes midseason.

Ohman isn't exactly a starting pitcher? Axelrod would go back to the bullpen if both pitchers came back.
chw42
My only complaint about this deal is that it wasn't done sooner. We go on the road for the entire week. Had this trade been made right after the Cubs series, we get Youk for at least 2 games at home. That would have been a nice attendance boost, even though we drew alright the past two games. Well if U-man replaces Paulie at first then Odawg has to still play third. I do like that there are so many name possibilities for KY ....Hey most reputable drugstores carry KY. Frank_Thomas
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 05:24 PM) Dumpster's hurt. I know I think that plays into our hands and lessens the demand for him. He comes back with questions, he also has made it clear his family will stay in Chicago with his daughter having that illness. I can seenus working out something with Theo, a lesser package knowing it's a one year thing. After this year he signs back with the Flubs and gets to keep his family here like he wants to. I just have a feeling.
