WHarris1
Chuck Garfien @ChuckGarfien White Sox place Philip Humber on the D-L. Designate Kosuke Fukudome for assignment. Bringing up Brian Bruney.
southsider2k5
Whoa, what's up with Humber?
LittleHurt05
Paul Sullivan @PWSullivan (Cubs Beat Writer) Sox designate Fukudome for assignment. He only cost $1 million though, not $48 million.

ChiliIrishHammock24
So is Dylan Axelrod taking a rotation spot, or Brian Bruney, who started his last game in AAA?
GreatScott82
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) Adam Hoge @AdamHogeCBS Philip Humber's injury is a "right elbow flexor strain". #WhiteSox Wow do we need starting pitching ASAP! Hope KW is making those calls.
Quin
All good moves, except I might have wanted a non-Bruney reliever

Im assuming Axelrod will replace Humber and Bruney will go into a long relief role.
Quin
This also tells me Stewart is being made a starter.

I would hope Axe is going to the rotation as Bruney has only made one start.
cabiness42
So they had to DFA Fukudome to add Bruney to the 40, which seemingly means that JorDanks is up for good.

That is where his value is highest.

You could see that coming. Danks instantly moved ahead of all of the bench players as the first guy off of the bench.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) Adam Hoge @AdamHogeCBS Philip Humber's injury is a "right elbow flexor strain". #WhiteSox I don't wish injury on anyone and hope Humber recovers, but unless this issue is what is responsible for his performance as of late, this is addition by subtraction. fathom
Fukudome was a huge bust this year, but I give KW credit for signing him and then releasing him when Danks passed him on the depth chart. I do wonder how serious Humber's injury is, or is this just a breather for him.
southsider2k5
Chicago White Sox @whitesox #WhiteSox place Philip Humber on 15-Day DL retroactive to 6/17 with right elbow flexor strain. Chuck Garfien @ChuckGarfien Humber has a right elbow flexor strain. Bruney 1-3 with a 1.85 ERA, 11 saves, 3 starts for AAA-Charlotte. Swingandalongonetoleft
Designate Kosuke Fukudome for assignment Can't really complain between the injury and the pure bad he's been so far, but I think it could have probably gotten better. 50 sporadic PAs this year isn't really indicative of what he would provide in the long run. I agree that had Fukodome gotten more playing time he wouldn't have been near as bad, but I love that fact that their going with Danks. His bat should be just as good. Combine that with his youth, ability to run the bases and his stellar defense and he's a great fourth outfielder.
Baron
Sounds like Humber is going to be on the DL for a while. So were 2 starters down. We need one ASAP.
