SoIL
Anybody anything about this guy? Could he be 3b help? per Rotoworld. Drew Sutton - 3B - Rays Rays designated INF-OF Drew Sutton for assignment. He batted .271/.314/.354 over 18 games with the big club. There's a chance Sutton will be claimed off waivers, but, either way, he should get another shot in the majors with someone this season. southsider2k5
I know nothing about the guy, what's the scoop? Hitter? Defender?
macsandz
He would be a quality pick up. He's a major leaguer. Decent bat. Average defense.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 03:14 PM) He would be a quality pick up. He's a major leaguer. Decent bat. Average defense. That's very questionable. There is a reason that he has gone through six organizations in under 2 years.

elrockinMT
Ok. The guys has little pop in his bat, no speed, average or so fielding skills and a so-so average. Unless a few singles more than what we get now is acceptable I don't see him as a fit unless we claim him and send him to AAA
Eminor3rd
Would he be better than Escobar? I don't know.
Knackattack
He has hit 20 homers in the minors before so there has to be at least some power there and he can play all over the infield, gotta be better than Escy or O-Dog.

Frank_Thomas
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 02:51 PM) They had traded him to Tampa after acquiring him from Atlanta a day before. You got it, guess they wanted him back. Here is the rest of the post in MLBTR: The Pirates announced that they have claimed infielder Drew Sutton off of waivers from the Rays. This marks a return of sorts for Sutton, who spent less than 24 hours as a member of the Pirates last month. On May 20th, Atlanta sent Sutton to the Bucs for cash considerations and the infielder was flipped to Tampa Bay the next afternoon for a player to be named later. The 28-year-old was designated for assignment by the Rays on Friday. Sutton posted a .271/.314/.354 batting line in 51 plate appearances for the Rays in 2012.
