caulfield12
Yay, jinxed Liriano. I also would like to "Dewey/Truman early predict" the Tigers will beat the Rangers 11-2, which will automatically result in a Rangers comeback win.

caulfield12
QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 08:49 AM) The only race Minnesota and Kansas City are in is for the higher draft pick in 2013 That can't happen if they beat the White Sox 18/30 games. fathom
Liriano has dominated lefties this year. Twins really should trade him when his value is high.

caulfield12
QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 08:50 AM) When did this game become a blowout? The feeling of doom which pervades every Twins' series or match-ups against Liriano, Sabathia or Johan Santana.
Dick Allen
I think Youkilis should have stopped Rios' bad throw.
fathom
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 12:51 AM) The feeling of doom which pervades every Twins' series or match-ups against Liriano, Sabathia or Johan Santana. Liriano doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence with those other two guys. 4-3 vs Sox in his career. Problem is he's on a good roll right now and Sox offense is in a major funk (1 run or less in 3 of last 5 games). Still a chance for Liriano to get wild and Sox to hit a blast though. Jake
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 07:53 PM) I think Youkilis should have stopped Rios' bad throw. Definitely. And Peavy should have been back there. It was a three way error
fathom
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 12:53 AM) I think Youkilis should have stopped Rios' bad throw. Not a chance, as it bounced up and hit his wrist it looked like. Bad throw, bad job by Peavy of not being in position.

If you want to blame someone for a play that should have been made, PK was slow to react on Plouffe's cheap single.
caulfield12
Peavy close to crossing the 3.00 ERA threshold. It's pretty incredible he could be 6-4 after today with how he's pitched this year so far. This could/would be 5 or 6 losses in a row in games started by Peavy/Sale. How we could still be in first place is beyond me.

It seems ever since he went into a slump due to the wrist issues, his defense has been very mediocre at first base.
