lasttriptotulsa
Another nice win for the Bulls, even if it was the lowly Cavaliers. Six guys in double figures, Boozer and Noah with Double-Doubles. 40+ points from the bench. Not a whole lot to complain about.
Brian
QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jan 8, 2013 -> 07:02 AM) Another nice win for the Bulls, even if it was the lowly Cavaliers. Six guys in double figures, Boozer and Noah with Double-Doubles. 40+ points from the bench. Not a whole lot to complain about. I was a tad worried after they lost at home to Charlotte for this game. Boozer beasting lately. He has to keep it up.

southsider2k5
I watched more of the Bulls game than I did the NCAA title game. The Bulls seem to be coming together. Boozer on a hot streak is really big for them. It gives me a real scoring option until Rose gets back.

Marco seemed to go into a bit of a slump when he was no longer starting but his numbers look good from last night (then again, everyone's do). Steve9347
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 8, 2013 -> 08:35 AM) How is the Bellini/Hamilton SG rotation working? Marco seemed to go into a bit of a slump when he was no longer starting but his numbers look good from last night (then again, everyone's do). Hamilton's portion of any rotation just looks horrendous. He needs to be bought out. Marco and Nasty Nate are both providing really nice pop. The offense just flows and is more confident when Marco is out there vs. Rip. I do not find it coincidence that the team is playing with a fire up their ass since Rose started practicing and traveling with them. They've been a blast to watch. Balta1701
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 8, 2013 -> 09:51 AM) He quit last night. Ah, ok, that's reasonable. edit: From reading on ESPN, here's a flashback of horror: Multiple reports said assistant Jim Boylan would fill in for Skiles on an interim basis. Reading that made me want to go hug Thibodeau.
lasttriptotulsa
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 8, 2013 -> 08:32 AM) I watched more of the Bulls game than I did the NCAA title game. The Bulls seem to be coming together. Boozer on a hot streak is really big for them. It gives me a real scoring option until Rose gets back. I've been most impressed with Boozer's defense these last 3 games. The best defense I think I've seen him play in a Bulls uniform. He's starting to drive to the hoop a lot more too instead of relying on his fadeaway. His sometimes spotty free throw shooting has gotten better too. 8-8 last night. These is the Boozer the Bulls thought they were getting and it's really nice to see. If Rose can come back and even be 80% of what he's capable of, dare I say this team may have a run in them? I would love to see Marco get more minutes and maybe even get Cook in for 8-10 a game just to have more of an outside threat. That would mean big time points in the paint for Noah, Gibson and Booz. Altercations on the court, not so bad, in the hallways/locker rooms, worse, but outside the arena by the team's bus? Stern won't put up with that. His coaching style would be a way better fit there. He's pretty tough on his players though which may or may not work in the college game. As an x's and o's guy he is one of the better coaches in the game. I also will always appreciate what he did with the Bulls (they were fun to watch with him...especially when you factor in all the years of s*** before he came along). Steve9347
Updating a previous item, Iman Shumpert (knee) has been cleared for full contact practice. Shumpert's return gives him clearance to participate in 5-on-5 practice drills, and it is just a matter of time before he makes his debut in mid-to-late January. Rose must be right around the corner. I'd argue thats exactly what works in the college game. You can much more easily boss around a bunch of 18-21 year olds than a bunch of 22-32 year old millionaires. Skiles would be a good system coach for a team with subpar talent.
