LeBron James has made 37 of his last 47 shots and is now shooting exactly 56% from the field overall. Between him and Durant, I officially no longer miss the Jordan era.

You're a bulls fan who doesn't miss the Jordan era?

Maybe I worded that incorrectly. I guess what I meant to say is that the days of "everything NBA was better in the 90's" should be long gone. I'm not just talking Bulls fans. But NBA fans in general. The product we have now is pretty f***ing sick. Say what you want about the new rules. But I love the pick n roll, spread 'em out league of today. I was watching a Bulls playoff game from 1998 and what the f***? I don't remember the pace being so f***ing slow. Nobody ever ran. Everything was half-court. And everybody was mugging each other.

When people say that I think they generally refer to the early portion of the 90s. Pre-expansion. There was still running at the time and you had wing players like Jordan, Drexler, (and to an extent Barkley, who was a post player that could play on the wing). You had good PGs in Hardaway, Stockton, Price, and KJ. Then to top it off it was the golden era for centers.

Are there any all time great centers today? How about power forwards? The game is pretty unbalanced for wing players. I do agree that it has become pretty entertaining because there are tons of storylines now, but I don't think people will ever stop saying that "everything NBA was better in the 90's" because it will always hold true.

Using 1998 as your example isn't really fair to the 90s. Maybe watch some of the early Knicks-Bulls series, or some of the early Bulls finals. You see guys like Richard Dumas (for Phoenix) running the floor and making no-look passes or going behind his back for layups. The guy averaged 16 points as a rookie and I had never even heard of him until I re-watched some old games. Look up his highlights if you get a chance.

Look, I'm only 25, so I should be biased towards today's era, but having watched a ton of old film I just can't do it. It was just a superior product.

I wonder what the Bulls would have to give up. Would they take Rip plus a draft pick or something in a salary dump? Reddick would be a nice fit.

It would take Rip + another player for the Bulls to stay within the hard cap they get hit by...but Reddick is a Free Agent at teh end of the year, so there's no real salary dump that can happen.

I wonder what Marco's role would be in that case. Marco is probably better at some things, but not enough to make up for that big thing JJ is good at. Neither are good on D. Jimmy looking to get minutes at that spot soon as well as Kirk.

At least one of our 2's would have to go if we acquired JJ

When did Birdman go to Miami?

The Miami Heat announced Friday that Chris "Birdman" Andersen has been signed for the rest of the 2012-13 season.

The team originally signed Andersen to a 10-day contract on Jan. 20, then re-signed him to another 10-day contract on Jan. 30. He has appeared in 6 games for the Heat, scoring 3.7 points with 4.0 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game. He is averaging just under 11 minutes of action per game coming off the bench.

Even with this efficiency increase of late, LeBron is still lagging behind Kevin Durant in terms of TS% and offensive rating.

That's all FT and 3pt shooting (though LeBron is shooting a crazy percentage from deep right now on less attempts per game than he took 3/4 years ago). LeBron will never be the ft and 3pt shooter that Durant is, even though he's a better player overall. I'd really hate to have a say so in the MVP voting this year. Who the f*** do you vote for? Two players having all-time spectacular seasons simultaneously. It's pretty rare.

As a Kobe fan, I must say, it looks like he never changed from the selfish egotistical maniac he was during Shaq's last 3 years in LA. He plays everyone for a sucker in which they say, "Look, he has X amount of assists, he's passing the ball.", when in reality, he's still freezing out teammates and going ISO in the worst of situations. There is no way in the world that Earl Clark should double the amount of FGAs Dwight has, even with Dwight being injured. Kobe did not bother looking for Dwight at all. He ran solid P&R basketball with Steve Nash, but it seems like Kobe rather have Artest get the ball before Dwight even sniffs it. I've watched the last 4 Laker games on League Pass and he continually does this.

If Kobe really wants the spotlight that much, he should make it a point to get the ball to Dwight at all times and then take the greenlight once Dwight hits the bench or at the end of games when you are down and need someone to create.

Kobe is one of the best one on one players ever. If he gets the ball in ISO, why give it up? You see the juke he gave Chalmers and got the And1?

Howard is a hack this year? WHy give him the ball on every possession? He was yelling at Nash during the game. Kobe's attitude has gotten him 5 rings. How many does Howard have>

Howard has done nothing this season to deserve the attention you are saying he does. The Lakers cant afford to let Dwight get time to get past his little childish hissy fit that has been going on for the last two seasons. I wouldnt pass it to him either, he has been brutal this season.

I would pass it to Dwight Howard, but that is because I am terrible at basketball.

Dwight Howard can barely lift his arms up and has lost all confidence in his abilities. Kobe and injury have ruined him, we'll see if he can bounce back and at least become the dominant defensive player he once was.

In yesterday's game, Steve Blake blocked a D-Wade attempt, and the announcers tried to give the block to Dwight. Blake got higher on the ball than Dwight f***ing Howard.

Bulls dodged a serious bullet.

I feel better than ever about not getting Dwight. I am just not eager to take on a personality like that. At this point, I'm much happier to have Joakim Noah, especially with the price but perhaps regardless.
