southsider2k5
QUOTE (Brian @ May 4, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) Can't wait to hear you all boo him next year. Or maybe we can get rid of him so all you are satisfied? In all seriousness, it might be time to explore what the market for Derrick Rose looks like. He may never be the same again. Quin
QUOTE (Brian @ May 4, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) Can't wait to hear you all boo him next year. Or maybe we can get rid of him so all you are satisfied? I acknowledge that I'll root for him next year. But he f***ed this year up. He should have let the FO shut him down if that's what was going to happen (the FO wanted to, Derrick told them not to). Muscle memory is a weak excuse. He's also removed the "rust" excuse if he comes back and doesn't dominate. Rose is the third best player in team history. He is Chicago's own. But he f***ed up. He'll get the cheers, but unless he wins a ring he won't get the same cheers.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2013 -> 03:52 PM) In all seriousness, it might be time to explore what the market for Derrick Rose looks like. He may never be the same again. I think he will be fine. Does trading a player of Rose's stature ever work out for an NBA team? To me, in the NBA, whoever gets the best player almost always wins the trade. Baseball, football, you can get depth or fill a couple of spots, but in the NBA, you need stars to win. This entire Rose saga has been very frustrating, but if he's great next year, the fans will forgive and forget. I just wonder what he teammates really think. They are saying the right things. That doesn't mean they are thinking them.

That doesn't mean they are thinking them. If Rose loses any explosion, he isn't Derrick Rose anymore. He's more like Nate Robinson. He doesn't have an outside game or defense to fall back on. It is all about superior quickness and amazing hops. If even a small percentage of that is gone, he isn't a max player anymore.

Quin
Chuck & Shaq just ripped into Rose. My dad said he would trade Rose for the first overall and future picks because "well if you get a young superstar." "Rose is one." "Not after this." "I'm pissed at him to, but you put your team in NBA hell like that."

Jake
How big is Marco in this series? He had been completely eliminated from the rotation and he's come in and really brought the offense together after Hinrich and Deng went down.
