Veal and Septimo have similar numbers, and similar control issues. But Check the L/R splits... Septimo is death for lefty bats, Veal is actually better against righties. Also, Septimo has seen his control improve since he got into the sox system, and as this year has gone on. Give me Septimo over Veal.

Agree with this, but admittedly basing opinion off limited stats and not anything I've seen. I voted Veal for WILL and Septimo for SHOULD. I think they'll go with the slightly more experienced player.

It will be fun to see someone else than WO, though, won't it?

I voted Leesman, Leesman.

Knights are playing in RI.

Loved his arm when he was drafted (never had the best peripherals to go with it). He's been a starter throughout (having a great year down there) but I would love to see him get a shot. If it's strictly for LOOGY though, that's different.(Septimo or Veal are fine, though Heath is the best out of the bunch)

Just to point out...whoever comes up, this means the Sox bullpen will include:

Jones

Reed

Santiago

Axelrod

Whoever is called up.

In addition to:

Crain

Thornton

Bruney.

That is one f***ing young bullpen.

Always a concern when you are battling for a pennant for sure. Maybe they are just so young they don't know they are not supposed to perform well?

Reed, Jones and Santiago have all had struggles recently, as should be expected with rookies as the league adjusts to them and they start trying to refine things. I think its important to not demote or remove any of them, at least not just yet. Give them a chance to come out of their first bad stretches, as that is something they absolutely need to do at the major league level. If any one or multiple of them just don't come out of it, then you may have to demote them, but I don't think we're there yet in any of the three cases.
