CubKilla
You were saying? This guy blows. Another AA-AAA pitcher who has no business being up here in a supposed pennant race.
DonkeyKongerko
I think someone asked this the other day but I'm gonna ask again. I'm asking God, why can't we ever have a Sox minor league pitcher that comes up and can contribute immediately? Just once?
Cerbaho-WG
I liked what I've saw out of Akins, sans hits and such, of course. Fastball looks good, slider doesn't look bad either. Defintely has a future in the pen.
Molto
agreed, he throws inside too, which is always a plus. he doesn't look like a starter, but could be a quality reliever.

Jason Bere And then he turned to s*** like, what, 2 or 3 years later? I know in 94 he was great....but he wasn't great for much longer after that. He then returned to the Cubs, where he blew chunks, and he signed with the Indians in the offseason. I think his shoulder then got cut open. Also....a player that came up and contributed right away...I don't know how much you put into 2000, but Buehrle did contribute quite quickly. Bere went 12-2 in 1994 and then in 1995 he lost 14 games with an ERA of 7. He blew out his elbow. was back in 1997 and was released and signed by the reds who then shiped him to Milwaukee who then traded him to the Indians in 2000 in the Sexson deal. Had sorta of a comeback in 2001 pitching really well for the Cubs. In 2002 he won 1 game and lost 9 sigend with the Indians in the off-season and now is gone for the season
Guest wsc425
Well we had ours come and go... Our minor league core that Shueler put together is gone thanks to KW. Guys like Buehrle, Garland, and Wright came up and got the job done. But guys like Ginter, Porzio and Kane can't cut it. If anyone the sox should call up Stewart and Sanders. Stewart has not pitched regularly since he was sent down from Chicago early in the year. I doubt you will see him pitch much, if at all for the Pale Hose this year. Cerbaho-WG
Stewart has below-average stuff, and I doubt he'll ever make himself to more than a 5th starter.
WSFAN35
Stewart probably won't return full time to the big leagues. He struggled with the Sox, he struggled after he got sent back down, and he's hurt now. Not much promise for him as of today.

I am wondering if he still is having physcial problems from that, or even mental problems...
